Hungarian Grand Prix 2024

Piastri Takes the Win Amidst Verstappen and Hamilton's Thrilling Collision

The Hungarian Grand Prix delivered an electrifying performance, with Oscar Piastri securing his first Formula One victory in a McLaren one-two alongside Lando Norris. However, the real drama unfolded in the battle for third place, where Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton clashed in a hair-raising incident that sent Verstappen's Red Bull airborne.

Verstappen, who had been making his way back to third place after being forced to hand a position back to Norris for leaving the track and gaining an advantage, locked up his front wheels as he attacked Hamilton at Turn One. The two cars made contact, with Verstappen's car briefly taking to the air before he rejoined the track in fifth place. Hamilton, meanwhile, went on to finish third without further issue.

Despite the intensity of the collision, both drivers escaped any punishment from the stewards, with the race result remaining unchanged. The incident marked a critical point in the championship battle, highlighting the fierce competition among the top drivers.

The Hungarian Grand Prix set the stage for the final race before F1's summer break, the Belgian Grand Prix, which promises to be just as thrilling. Stay tuned for more updates and analysis from the world of Formula One.
