Emirates Golf Club, Dubai
The flagship course at Emirates Golf Club, The Majlis championship course, is a challenging par 72, 7,301-yard layout. Designed by Florida-based course architect Karl Litten, the original 18 holes were built in and around the dunes of a stunning site on the edge of Dubai. The land was donated by His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who instructed that the desert flora be preserved in its natural state.
The Majlis course has earned a global reputation as a demanding layout, even for the best golfers. The course features hundreds of indigenous species of flora and fauna, beautifully complemented by meandering fairways and seven fresh and saltwater lakes.
The Majlis, the first grass course in the Middle East, derives its name from the Arabic word for 'meeting place'. One of the most prominent features on the course is the Majlis building itself, positioned between the 8th and 9th holes, and a Dubai landmark since 1988.

Al Hamra Golf Club, Ras Al Khaimah
Designed by Peter Harradine, this 18-hole golf course opened its doors in 2007. The course winds around four interconnected open water lagoons, seamlessly merging with the waters of the Arabian Gulf. Reflecting traditional course designs, the front nine, measuring 3,578 yards, extends outward from the Clubhouse, while the back nine, measuring 3,747 yards, returns home around the lagoon to the Clubhouse. The result is a stunning Par 72 Championship Golf Course, spanning 7,400 yards at full length, with five varying tee options on each hole.
Originally planned for construction on the salt flats bordering the water’s edge, the course required five million cubic meters of sand and expert shaping to create gentle elevation changes. The terrain moves around the lagoons, rising and falling from plus one to plus eight meters, providing a dynamic playing field.
Al Hamra Golf Club’s Par 72 Championship course is designed to cater to golfers of all skill levels, offering both fledgling novices and accomplished players an enjoyable and engaging golfing challenge.
